Many women struggle daily with the belief that they are not good enough. This is all due to the fact that we reside within a world that tells us we have to mirror a certain look, live out a particular lifestyle, possess husbands who fit a certain mold, and have children that excel in each and every area of their lives.
And instead of thriving in the life we already have, we aim to create an existence that impresses those around us.
But God is not apologetic for the way in which He created us. Although we are continuously being molded by our Creator, it is only to form us for the calling He has on our lives. It is not so we can fit into a world we were never meant to.
“Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. That ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Love others well, and don’t hide behind a mask; love authentically” (Romans 12:2, 9).
We all go through experiences in life that we often wonder if others also encounter. Carey tells us in her book Un-Afraid: Be you. Be authentic. Find the grit and grace to shine. that we are not alone in these battles that we face. There is still time for us to wholeheartedly embrace the Word of God and live an Un-Afraid life.
